Module 1: Navigating the Outlook Interface
- The Outlook Ecosystem:Â Overview of Mail, Calendar, People (Contacts), Tasks, and Notes.
- The Ribbon and Folders Pane:Â Understanding context-sensitive tabs and navigating your folder hierarchy.
- Customizing Your View:Â Using the Reading Pane, arranging messages, and adjusting layout and view settings.
- Practical Activity:Â Navigate to each main module (Mail, Calendar, Contacts) and customize the Reading Pane location.
Module 2: Composing and Sending Emails
- Creating a New Message:Â Using the To;, Cc;, and Bcc; fields appropriately. Writing clear subject lines.
- Formatting & Professionalism:Â Basic text formatting, adding signatures, and setting importance levels.
- Working with Attachments:Â Attaching files and items from OneDrive. Understanding file size limits.
Module 3: Organizing Emails with Folders
- Folder Management:Â Creating, renaming, and moving folders and subfolders for project- or sender-based organization.
- Rules:Â Introduction to creating basic rules to automatically move, flag, or delete incoming messages.
- Search and Filters:Â Using the instant search box and the Search Tools tab to find old emails quickly.
Module 4: Using Contacts and Address Book
- Creating & Editing Contacts:Â Adding new contacts manually, filling in key details, and adding a photo.
- Contact Groups (Lists):Â Creating a distribution list to send emails to a group of people at once.
- Finding and Using Contacts:Â Using the Address Book while composing an email and categorizing contacts for easy sorting.
Module 5: Calendar Management Basics
- Different Appointment Types:Â Creating new appointments (for yourself) and meetings (inviting others).
- Scheduling Assistant:Â Using the Scheduling Assistant to find a time that works for all attendees.
- Managing Invitations:Â Responding to meeting invites (Accept, Tentative, Decline) and adding notes.
Module 6: Setting Tasks and Reminders
- The Tasks Module:Â Creating a new task, setting a due date, priority, and status.
- Flags and Reminders:Â Using the Follow Up flag to create quick email-based reminders.
- The To-Do Bar:Â Understanding how Tasks, Flagged Emails, and your Calendar integrate in the To-Do Bar view.
